TOKEN E&C JOINS HANDS WITH FLOOD-AFFECTED COMMUNITIES: SPREADING COMPASSION IN THE AFTERMATH OF STORM NO. 11

After Storm No. 11 swept across northern Vietnam, leaving devastating damage in its wake, Token E&C, in collaboration with the Red Cross, organized a humanitarian mission on October 16–17 to support two severely affected localities: Vinh Thong Commune (Thai Nguyen Province) and Bo Ha Commune (Bac Ninh Province). The mission aimed to provide timely relief, stand with the affected families, and help stabilize their lives in the aftermath of the disaster.

A Journey of Compassion to Flood-Ravaged Thai Nguyen

In Vinh Thong Commune, the delegation visited and provided encouragement to residents of Kim Van and Lung Sien hamlets—two of the hardest-hit areas—and distributed 62 relief packages to affected households. Most families had lost their belongings, crops, and livestock due to the floods. Residents are struggling daily as they wait for floodwaters to recede so they can rebuild their lives.

According to local records, Kim Van Hamlet still has 27 homes submerged up to their rooftops, with water levels reaching depths of 5 to 7 meters. Fourteen other homes are flooded up to the second floor of traditional stilt houses. Meanwhile, Lung Sien Hamlet remains completely isolated, with 14 houses entirely underwater and seven others severely damaged.

Though modest, each gift represented the heartfelt sympathy of Token E&C, carrying warmth and humanity to families in distress.

Towards Bac Ninh – Where the Waters Recede but Compassion Remains

The relief mission then continued to Bo Ha Commune, Bac Ninh Province, where 100 aid packages were presented to residents of Xuan Lan Hamlet. Although the floodwaters had receded, the emotional toll remains heavy, especially for the family of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Lien, whose husband tragically passed away from exhaustion after participating in rescue efforts during the flood.

Residents of Bo Ha Commune, Bac Ninh Province, Vietnam, gathered at the Xuan Lan Village Cultural House to receive charitable donations from Token E&C.

The Commune Party Secretary received a donation of 50 million VND from Ms. Phan Thi Nhu Quynh, representing Token E&C, and the Vice Chairwoman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Red Cross Society.

Additionally, Token E&C, alongside the Bac Ninh Red Cross and Dan Tri Newspaper, visited Dong Son Primary School to deliver meaningful gifts to students from preschool, primary, and lower secondary levels. These contributions aimed to alleviate hardship, help restore their spirits, and support their return to school following days of extreme disruption.

The sight of homes engulfed in floodwaters, devastated farms, and entire communities in crisis deeply moved every member of the delegation.

More than ever before, this journey stands as a powerful testament to the Vietnamese spirit of mutual support and community responsibility—values that Token E&C has always upheld and strived to promote throughout its development journey.

“Seeing the smiles and emotional expressions in the eyes of the people reminded us that every gift, no matter how small, carries hope and the warmth of humanity,” shared a representative of the delegation.
